There is a forum that I stop by every now and then because sometimes there are some really good free tools and some tricks. I try to get in and out fast. Anyway, a couple weeks ago a SEO guy had a client that he was able to get to page one but no further. He had been trying for months to break above spot 8 and he was getting frustrated because he thought he had out SEO’d the guys above him. Out of frustration he was willing to go to the darkside and was looking for advice or to hire a black hatter to help break through. He said he had a pretty good budget. I read the advice he was getting and almost all of it was either inappropriate or just plain wrong. I felt for the guy because he was genuenly seeking assistance, wasn’t asking for free shit and didn’t know what to do. (btw going to the dark side with a clients site is a bad idea). This is a guy in a real business with a real client so I Pm’d him and told him the advice he was getting is horrible, Pm me with the keywords and the site, I might be able to help.  Much to my surprise, he emailed me the info and stated that their goal was slot #3,  #1 is Wiki,  #2 is .Edu . I looked at the site and competition and told him what I thought he should do. (All info from Make Money with Adsense) He came back with some questions, I clarified and answered, he said thanks and I thought I would not hear from him again.

Today I get an e-mail: “Hey Buddy” (yes, now were buddies :))  I’m on slot #3 in just 10 days!!!!!   (how cool is that)   He had some questions about what factors influenced the SERPS the most and some keyword questions. Haha, I have no idea so I will answer with something profound like “with G it is what it is”  LOL. Now I’m going to tell him how to take Wiki (And I do know how) its a little BH but very safe. Soon he will be at spot #1 with a very happy client….paying client that is. All of this because a Bear told a Noob and the Noob payed it forward. 

There are 2 things to take from this post. 1) If you are starting to get a handle on what Griz, Vic, Court, are teaching, you are way ahead of most internet marketers so get your ass to work and start building sites. (I know, improper anchor WTF!!!!) lol

#2)Helping others has been discussed on several blogs this week and it is very important. Internet marketing or MMO is network marketing. If you want to get your business flying help others when you can and you will win. And you should always try to stay on the Favors owed side of the scale rather than Favors due.  The guy that I helped owns a real business with a sales staff etc. My guess is that he will be successful going forward (Maybe already is). Over time this guy is going to SEO client after client, using each client to make other clients stronger. He will be building his own farm on the back of his growing client list. What do you think is going to happen when the time comes and I need a little help pushing my “HUGE PENIS DRUG” site to slot #1? My bet is he will rain anchored links (eg. “Slay her with your massive hog”) on my site like no tommorrow if I ask.  So go Join linking networks, make friends, and like Griz says; push each other up the serps! Do you get it?

Damit, I wasn’t going to post today I’m busy as shit but I though the e-mail was cool, and btw….It wasn’t a very competitive KW.
